Import Moon data (LOLA or LROC)

Hi !

I've downloaded some DEM files from LROC site (here is an example : http://wms.lroc.asu.edu/lroc/view_rdr_product/WAC_GLD100_E000N1800_032P)

You can download the whole moon surface in different format.

I can import DEM file in Terragen but there is a problem with th projection. The dem file or the map is not correctly projected on the planet.



How can i make a spherical projection on the planet ?

In your heightfield shader displacement tab un tick "flatten surface first".

EDIT:
You said you were loading a DEM. If you're loading a geoTiff you can use an image map shader and spherical projection. Just make sure that the centre point (y) is the same as the centre of the planet you're mapping onto.

Spherical projection would almost certainly cause massive distortion on any DEM, unless it's a spherical projection full-planet heightmap. Ballez, try disabling Georeferencing, if it's still on (enabled by default). There are checkboxes in the settings of the Heightfield Load node.
