I'm wondering how to make an asteroid belt. I've seen how to do it with a rocks population but I need to get up close to the asteroids and so I am hoping to use a planet population. I tried a test and Terragen shut down so I don't if those really work well yet. Does anyone know how to do this?

I don't know, really big rock maybe or have hero objects?
The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

I have been working on an asteroid belt generator as I have had time.  It makes clip files.

So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

use object population instead of planet population???
"His blood-terragen level is 99.99%...he is definitely drunk on Terragen!"

I'd use a transparent disc, use the fake stones shader (or a population of real stones) on top of it.
(You can use the built-in disc, which allows you to set the inner radius to a value that is greater than your planet's radius so you get a ring actually.)
