Does anybody know of a good resource for finding out which plants are native to certain terrains and areas? I have the Xfrog bundle but am having trouble in selecting the right plants for a terrain.
I would think that it could be the downfall of an otherwise brilliant piece of work if the choice of trees and plants is all wrong.

(Not that I am anywhere close to making a brilliant piece of work)  :)

The documentation that comes with the Xfog discs explains where the plants are typically found.  :)

the third search option in the middle "Regional plant list finder" will help for the U.S.

USDA forest service has some good info also

As far as the rest of the world do a search for the name of the area you want and "native plants" or "Flora"

You might have some luck searching university web sites and their Sciences department web sites.
The info is out there is just a bit hard to find in one place.

Frankly? I can see no problem with scenes featuring prehistoric fern side by side with cherry tomatoes.  :D

I agree,  there's a place for cherry tomatoes in any scene.

Thanks for the links.  8)
