After spending 3 hours testing what the problem is
i made a new render node and a small planet that rendered faceted renders just fine now.
If you open any old projects in a new version keep that in mind and make a new render node if you see any similar problem at first.
It might still be another problem but only changing the render node and getting good results makes me think this is the real problem.

I remember that it was said that using new nodes instead of the old ones is anyway the safest method.

Matt

Can you show us an example render?

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Because i got it working and was not sure where the problem really is i did not bother much .
But i will try to find the file and post some render later today Matt.

Matt below is a render and the TGD file itself.
I searched for hours but unfortunately could not find the original file that i made with the older version of Terragen.
This is the file made (saved) with the last version of TG3 (3.1.02.0).

I hope this helps.

That is funny.
Just to test if the file is correct i downloaded it and looked ones more and saw the "Ray trace everything" check box!
The "(not recommended)" part is another hilarious side!

False alarm Matt :D

Edit:One more thing learned the hard way.I didn't thought that planets itself are so much affected from that option.

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Oshyan

*Everything* is affected by "Raytrace everything". ;)
