my object is to export terragen scene in 3ds max
i know i can't do that by exporting only one file, i must do that by step
so my goal is to export first , the object file
so my question is how i can export the object file in 3dsmax

my first tentation i have done is to create a micro exporter in render sequence output
make a file as object extension
and do render to create the file

until now is good

but when i export it in max
this is the resolt

so what the problem ?
some thing wrong i dont know ?
can some one tell me what happen ? and what my mistake and what is the best way ?
Thanks.

You need to place your camera above the terrain looking down on the area you want to export (ortho/plan view) Than do the same as you did above, you'll be good to go
New World Digital Art

still same problem, may be worse, because when i choose top view , the size of the object file after the render is only 1k, so nothing in max
i tried to make position of the terrain in center
zoom out to have maximum area
atmospher desabled
enviro light desabled
Atmospher visible desabled
Do shadows desabled
resize image for exemple 1000 x 500

the result :

and the size of the object file = 1k
so the problem still the same ggggrrrrr

yoooupi, get it

the problem is only in the  camera position, just to change the position in the editor camera

now, i can go to the next step
THE TEXTURE

hope i will not get problem, hehehehehe
specially with this good tutorial

the third step
who can i export lwo and lws files from terragen to the max ?
for example iam in max who i can import it ?

jo

Hi,

We don't really recommend using the LWO import/export in TG. I would imagine most apps can import OBJ, otherwise I'd suggest using an object converter application to convert an OBJ to the format you want. You could also try FBX export as it seems LightWave supports that.
