Finally reached the end of a 72hr render.  The pic took nearly twice as long to render as the reduce x2 method but the wait was worth it I think.
Rendered at detail 1.25 aa 16.

Very nice render, the foam on the water looks great  :)

Great image. 72 hours render time is a killer though :o

Beautiful!

I've read that water with foam isn't easy to create with TG2-3, but this image proves that TG can create beautiful waves with foam.
But I understand that a lot depends on the artist.

Good work!

Courageous settings, gorgeous results!  Be nice to see the image in the original render format, how do you compare the original to the posted image? This is definitely the best choppy water I've seen in TG, well worth the 72 hours in my estimation!

mhaze

Thanks all, Xaxxon,  with a PNG it's pretty close to the original I would have liked to add transparency to the water and maybe pushed detail to 1.5 or even higher but with my computer running at 97degees whilst rendering I didn't feel like pushing it! :)

Dune

Bigger please  ;) Without joking; excellent water! I like it.

72 hours at 97 degrees C, that's a 'suicide' mission in my estimation. A bigger image would verge on apocalyptic, hopefully you have a good liquid cooler on order  ;)! Once again, great image!

mhaze

yeah, the new one is liquid cooled so hopefully.....  I actually stopped the render every 12 hrs or so to let my computer cool!

I am not sure about the scales in the image but it looks nice.
