Hi,
This is the first time I have put something on here. I made it using Terragen and Blender. It is the first time I have combined models with Terragen and it was a big learning curve.

Please tell me what you think.  8)

Cool pic, really! I am all for combining Terragen images with the ones from other CG software so today you won my vote. Reflections in the mirrors are very clever.

I'd just smooth out the road some more and perhaps make shadows softer. They look much to sharp in my opinion.

This is looking very good, a fairly complicated thing put together nicely. The most important things I'd change are soft shadows! and more veggies on the roadside, mainly the little dike. Bare ground is not too nice.
I wonder if the mirror image is rendered right away or comped in, can you tell how you did that?

choronr

Very well done. Agree regarding soft shadows.

Nice results for a first attempt.
Some of the surfaces of the model could be improved.
You could do that by adding noise to the surface or by
breaking up the specularity for example.

Great idea and nicely done! ;)

Thanks for the positive feedback. I am going to add a few more plants as suggested and will render with soft shadows on the trees and poles.

The mirror images were made in photoshop from rendered views out of the car. They are UV mapped onto the mirror glass with an image map shader.

Thanks again

Nice! glad to see that you did what you set out for  8)
