how did u get that rock looking like that, I have tried and tried doing something like this using twist n sheer in both directions, rock objects etc etc, but fail big time........great render, danny

You're probably asking me, so here's the answer; it's built of 3 displacable cubes (or spheres). Just place them as building blocks where you want them and give them all the same texture and displacement, the rocks flow into eachother quite nicely.
