If I need to create an .obj file (a model of a dog) but I have no clue how to do it what are my options? There are companies who can do this or something? Any idea what amount of money it can cost?
If u have any data to share or link pls let me know :)

If you never created an object, then doing this would be a big task.
But if you're just looking for a dog model you may have a look here:

The model I would need is based on a toy dog so it is very specific. That is the reason I was thinking that I might need to get it done with a company if the price is reasonable as I would need it only to get some renders done for myself.

If you have a reference pic of the toy dog you could try posting
it here or on another 3d forum and asking if someone would be
willing to help you out modeling/sculpting the dog.In case it's
rather simple it might be a good exercise for somebody.

Or you can consider the 3D reconstruction approaches BigBen has been experimenting with:

Basically you take a bunch of photos of your object from different angles, then use software like 123D Catch or Agisoft Photoscan to create a 3d model. Depending on how detailed your reference object is and how many sharp edges it has, the results can be pretty good, as you can see in those threads above. 123D Catch is free I believe.

Um, so you want a model of a Husky, or a model of a stuffed toy that looks like a Husky?

Actually, I think that it would be easier to make the stuffed toy. Due to the fact that I would not have to worry about muscle form, and a slew of other natural features.
Actually again, I think this is why so many animated films are made to look like cartoons rather than real. It is a lot easier!

In the case of the fur, that would be surprisingly quick do to not having to make a real muscle structure underneath.

But I can't do it for you. Im behind in everything in my life. :-[
I think it would be fun to do though.
