Sphere Object in Population

Maybe this old news (and I seem to have heard something about this before), but I couldn't get the sphere object to work in a population.

It doesnt work,you are right. Because the rest works i assume this is a bug. For the rain,try using discs then maybe?

I tried the discs, but apparently only the spheres float in space.  The population preview looked fine, but it doesn't render.

Yes, I believe this is a known issue. I'll make sure it's recorded.
