this is one of my better render, but not the final version yet.
Let me know what you think, I know it grainy I think I rendered at .75 and 2AA

Oshyan

Very nice work! I like how you've mixed dark and light clouds, and the upper cloud layer looks very good in particular.

The grain in this case is mostly due to atmoshere sampling. I would suggest leaving other settings as they are and putting atmosphere samples to 64 or so and see if that gives good quality.

Nice picture and lighting :) I'd love to see the final result :) And if you still have grain after what Oshyan said, try increasing the cloud quality

I should have the final rendering this afternon or tonight ....
whenever it desides to stop rendering.  ;D
Hmmm... wonder what this button does....

atmosphere samples to 64
and quality up to 1

Oshyan

Atmosphere at 64 should be fine but quality 1 should not necessarily be required. Leaving quality where it was before should suffice as the noise is almost totally down to atmosphere samples.

N8IO

oh well it should be done around noon tomorow....
I'm in no hurry.  :P

N8IO

Soo it was more like Laaaate afternoon...
well here you go it took something like 27 hours

ProjectX

still some grain, but you're getting there. atmosphere samples of 128, or maybe even 256 might be needed for this kind of scene.

Tangled-Universe

Wow, this has greatly improved. Very nice rays and I like variations in the clouds. Great job! Like ProjectX said it would need 128 to maybe 256 atmo samples to get rid of the noise on the terrain/in the rays. Always the question if that's worth the probably insane rendertime?
