Voronoi cells, yet again

Apparently, voronoi cells can be used to simulate streets in a small town. Here's a little town experiment I made with voronoi cells masking streets:

I used dandelO's Voronoi Cracks clip as a mask for roads and modified it slightly so that the texture is not blurred. It all depends on your needs. The only problem is that I can't find a way to put all the buildings along the roads automatically but rather have to do it manually. :P

Cool!

I once had to place 240 houses according to a roadplan. That would have been handy to get done automatically  :P

I think I'll top that. :P

What can be done I think, is to mask building placement with the inverse of those "Voronoi streets" but objects will still be scattered randomly, or will just face one direction if you set so. Not really good for a precise object placement.

But you can edit populations for position, scale, so it ain't that bad. One time a mask just wasn't working for a road and I had to 'cut' all the trees invading the road's space and it was a loooooong road. Bur t it is do-able
