Indeed makes you wonder what's going on, at first glance.
I too like the water a lot.
The transparency is just awesome as it starts fresh and clean but becomes greener when depth increases.
I often, actually always, find it difficult to get that, because the waterline itself also tends to get some kind of transparency colour.
About the contrast, lighting or dullness; I can say I agree, but I know this is also your kind of signature.
Whenever I see a thumb of your images I inmediately know it is yours.
So I can't say it's a bad thing per se.
