Turned out really nice, Bob. But (there's always a 'but') what about the road? I can see a hint of a path, but I think it would be great if you turn that or in a next file into a real road (dilapadated tarmac road) or more defined gravel path. Maybe with a rusty sign. For size and contrast sake.
Thank you Ulco. Yes, the path looks worn down to almost nothing. I had tried to incorporate a gravel road by creating a clip file of yours and others road setups without success (guess I've reached my level of incompetence ...LOL). I like your idea of a sign; or something else for comparison of size to the 40+ meter height of the formation.

I have started another similar project where I'll use the displaced cubes and will get the road setup and improved vegetation distribution.

Nice one Bob, love the colour and texturing of the rocks. The grass on the rocks is a nice touch too but I'd like to see more variety's of veg and maybe some closer deciduous trees.
Thank you Mick. Your file of the displaced cube coupled with mogn's rectangular noise file (plus Hetzen's and j meyer's ideas and files) have enabled very nice formations. My next project will have a much better array of vegetation and placement.

That looks great, Bob! These rocks are fantastic! BUT (;D) I agree with Ulco. A more enhanced path (or road) would be a nice reference for the overall scale of the image.
I like the vegetation like this, (once more:) but the distribution could be a bit more irregular.
Thank you Hannes. I'm getting my thoughts together for hopefully a much improved scene using these displaced cubes. And, the vegetation will contain different varieties and improved distribution.

Nice image and title.
Agree that the path could be enhanced, but I'd keep it natural,no tarmac.
Keep them coming Bob!

Thank you Jochen. I'll begin working on a new version today.

Forgot to comment earlier. Love the rock. Match the surroundings to its quality and you have a stunner. I 'garontee' you that :)
