Upon Infinity

I thought I'd post this one even though I'm using the daytime version.  I just didn't feel comfortable consigning it to digital oblivion.   :-\  Still, c & c are welcome.

Well, I'm glad we all agreed it's a perfect image.   ;D  ;)

It's quiet here, isn't it? Too quiet, it used to be a lot more vibrant. But I'll give you some comment: I think it's too dark overall, and there's some grain in the far atmosphere. You could try to get some really strong lighted areas in the distance, poking through the clouds, lighting the terrain in 'well chosen' patches. I've seen that kind of dramatic light in Scotland.

Yeah, it got quiet quick.  A couple of months ago, it was very busy.  Even I'll admit to neglecting the forum as I focus more on modelling, but I do check in every few days at least.  Maybe it's the better weather now...

That's good commentary, Dune.  I'm using my proprietary ambient night lighting process.  I should develop a method of getting some good moon light just for some variety.  What do others use for this?  Darker sunlight with heavy GI?

That's a great shot of Scotland.  Do you know where it was taken?  I'd guess either far north or the Isle of Skye.  Looks pretty remote.

Haven't got a clue, but those kind of landscapes are my favorite.

Really quiet  :)

But I can understand... at the moment I am too busy the most time...

@Upon Infinity
I personally would like some slight lightbeam and details in the forground. But basically I like the overall impression of the image.

@Dune
Funny :) At first glance I thought the picture of scotland is one of your renders...
