This is an older render, tried playing with it to make it a bit more realistic, but I had previously done post work right after making it and I couldn't get it to feel any more real so I just played. The result I find oddly pleasing to look at, since a lot of things I think would bother me on another image but for whatever reason I think looks nice here. Kinda interested what others think of it or if I'm just crazy  :o

Dune

It has a very pleasant mood. Colors are great, but the textures on the (front) trees are no good; they are not tiled. The trunks seem square because of that (or perhaps they even are). So, use another (tiled) bark texture and you're fine.

hey, that mood is so absolutely great!

I can not disagree Dune so please try what he said.
And please, please, please go on the work on this pic. It's worth it!

I really like it from the ground up and would replace that texture with a tiling one but, a really nicely composed and lit scene here.

So I had apparently messed with the project itself too at some point so not everything was the same. Working on bark and groundcover, did a few slight edits to this one to get a feel for color.

Dune

This is way better! But I miss some ground texture between the ferns. You could make it mossy, like it's all mossy boulders. rounded fake stones with tiny deep green spikes, or perlin wobbles, with green stuff allover, something like that.

Here's an update. I feel it's much better, not sure if I'm completely satisfied or not.

Dune

Much better indeed. It has something arty, like a linocut or color etching or something. Very nice.

Cocateho

Thank you! I debated on whether it was too contrast-y... on one hand I felt like it added to the overall feel but it took from the realism. But I'll prefer a fantasy mood over reality any day  ;D

Looks finished to me. I really like the light coming in from the left a lot for some reason...seems to sparkle...Well done.

Great! Van Gogh or Monet would be very interested in that scenery!  :)
