Hi,
I was wondering how to create weavy strata. I got an idea reading a tutorial about functions(
http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=1167). here is the first result.
The image uses mainly sin an cosine functions + some fractal shaders to create random effects.
Maybe I'll try to improve lighting and the usage of fake stone shader.
For color... well I am almost totally color blind so keep cool.
### NEW EDIT ###
A new version is available here (cracked rocks, new sky and some texture in the foreground):
http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2070836230045555851vcjqXYI used the code from "Cracked_Rocks_010807b.tgc" to modify the boulders. by the way I have got really strange results:
if I link directly the output of Cracked_Rocks to the Surface Shader input of a Fake stone shader, it works very well in a minimal scene; but in my case, it affects the whole scene textures, although the fake stone is a children layer of a very limited surface layer.
To make it works, I had to remove the displacement layer of the Cracked_Rocks, and add one between the Fake stone shader and the surface layer which support it.
### NEW EDIT ###
last version here. I had to fight a lot to have a good material using xfrog plant, is there a tutorial that help?
