Sorry for my slightly longer absence again, but I had some harder nuts to crack... But lets see what happend:

It was time for a larger environment for my weekend home. So here you are: Charly-Village at noon...

.. and this time in 3D again:

...and now one more puzzle of my animation plan  8)

Guess, where we are sitting in ... ;)

Be very careful with the 3D-Version. Don't try to focus too fast or especially the window reflections... Headache is guaranteed!

I needed so long time because this scene will need a 360° view. I have mor than 50 populations (each 2-20 million instances) and more than 150 single objects.

If it works (I'm quite sure it does) you will see an animated takeoff from inside the... and with turning our head to watch the landscape...

I will check and perhaps change some details of the interior of the vessel. The console will blink... The monitor should show the actual view in the Terragen 3D-preview design (bounding boxes) -- also animated of course....

Nice work.

I am afraid to look at the 3D images. They look like the eyes are 1 meter apart :)
What are you using to do them?

Kadri

I have old red, green glasses.Doesn't seam to work with your images.

You are partially right Kadri.

a.) My Anaglyphics are for red-cyan glasses... (But give me some time, I try to prepare a compatible image for your glasses...)
     Sorry, I have checked - I cannot create red-green anaglyphics. Only red-cyan or yellow-blue...  :(

b.) I used the Terragen settings of 6,5 I think. Thats a little bit smaller than the human interocular distance.

but anyway with objects close to the eyes and additional objects far away, you get real focus problems.

Human eyes usually focus only one object. when you put one finger near your nose and focus it, you'll see a far object twice. And when you focus a far object you'll see your finger twice. In stereoscopic 3D images most people try to focus both at same time. That is unnatural for eyes and brain...

I use Stereo Photo Maker. Free and with some really nice features: http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/index.html

No problem and thanks for the link.
I have made only 2-3 attempts to make 3D images but i like the Side-by-side approach.
Have you tried it?

DocCharly65

Perhaps these ones will help:

You should be able to "open with" any jpg-viewer (or the program from the link)

Most 3D-TVs should show them too. Perhaps on some TVs you must exchange Left and Right (LG for example)

Kadri

That worked.Thank you.
The cockpit scene feels extreme as you said :)
