Clay

So I decided to play around with some shader stuff today, very cool stuff! I think I'm getting the hang of it now.

Clay

An update, adjusting cam settings etc, but now it looks more like a mining pit WHEEEE..gonna add some water in there and it will be an abandoned mining pit.

Looking good; and, having fun creating is a plus.

Another update with some junk thrown in:-)

Hetzen

Really like this Clay.

The second has better break up in colour, probably down to your strata settings. The veg and water is making this more complete in the third. Strong composition.

If you want a sidetrack exercise, the strata could warp and be masked to break up some. But only if you want to spend time on getting that right. Otherwise a few steps more in populations and you have a portfolio image.

Thx Hetzen, I'm still fiddling around with the strata shaders and color shaders, its like you move one and it flips the whole image around LOL!!! But its fun and I'll eventually figure it out, I'll try the warp shader exercise that could make some other neat effects! Thanks for all the helpful comments from ya'll it is a definite learning experience:-)

Clay

So should I use just a warp shader or other warping doohickies?

So did some more tweaking on strata etc, still have to adjust the vegetation a bit, but its coming along I spect.

Clay

So stripped the veggie away, and working on a few things, (don't mind the goofy clouds, just in there for some reference) but the strata is making progress. Its like photoshop, layer after layer after layer LOL!

The pit9.jpg looks already very impressive!

Clay

I think I'm just gonna call this one done for now. Gonna start a new one and play with shaders some more.
