So decided to relax here on my B-day and start a new image, I'm still on my desert scene kick, must be the extreme heat we're having..hmmm maybe I should flip around and do snow scenes LOL! Anyways a new W.I.P, think I will start doing the clouds next and then veggies and maybe some water.

Doing some compositing tests, the image is starting to come together a bit, will make some tweaks and render out a large HD version when I get my tweaks made.

The ships I made in Maya and render them out then composited them onto the scene in Photoshop, still haven't gotten use to how Terragen works with objects, but I soon will then I can start adding stuff in my scenes that need to be there.

TheBadger

It has been eaten.

An update on the image, its coming along.

Agree, and I think that a great sky is the most important element for a deep image.

Most Cool !!!  I like these a lot.

The first picture especially reminds me of the work flow that I am currently using (a terrain created in Vue, Imported into World Machine, and then textured and rendered in Terragen.

To me it looks almost exactly the same!

How did you come up with the terrain, may I ask?  -Jerry

On this one a power fractal and added the distort shaders, mainly I've been using the height field generation to get terrains I want, then adding various shaders to achieve the desired effect. There are so many ways to do things its hard to narrow it down sometimes LOL!
