A scene I made yesterday: Not focusing to much on every single detail, but maybe mood. Birds put in via PS: Inspired by an image I saw in the Planeside showcase:

Dune

I like the overall effect, very subtle greys, nice composition. Did you do the rocks so angled on purpose? That's the only crit I may have, to make them more natural.

kaedorg

Really nice. Greys make this one really nice. It has a special mood.

Thanks Dune, Kandri and Kaedorg! :) I was focusing on getting a good grey mood, so I'm happy if it shows! Rocks looked like something I see a lot in Norway, so I went for it. This is a scene I may focus more on later (focusing on the rocks, adding more details like some small bio-stuff in the closer part:  But as of now I am happy with that clean sharp look on the closer part).

It has been eaten.

Great tone and mood... :)

Wonderful moody piece. Ditto Ulco's comments about the rocks.

DocCharly65

Still cannot decide about the rocks... but the mood is great!

Hannes

Agreed. Some more irregular rocks would be nice. And the fog looks a bit too harsh imho.

kaedorg

i don't have problem with the rocks even if in my place rocks are not so angled.
I think it can be like this on a lakeside or with small tides, also with rocks falling from a cliff.

A real treat to see a grey scale image as I finally see something as non colour blind folks see it, heh heh heh...Well;  re: the rocks, you know what they look like where you are so I'll take your word on them tho I tend to agree with Dune as well.

The rocks look a lot like sharp granite boulders you might see in Yosemite or other places in the Sierras. Pretty natural to my eye, really. I'm a bit distracted by what appears to be a chromatic aberration post processing effect, but I like the image otherwise.
