Here are three quick renders of some work based upon fake stones I created, an attempt at manipulating cracked stone and a suggestion from o_b about how to create an interesting terrain.
Comments are welcome, of course.
So this is Disney World. Can we live here?

That is an interesting terrain. I guess it just shows that similar techniques applied in different contexts can yield quite disparate results.

I think the direction of the light is affecting these, too. I intentionally didn't change the colors of the textures once I started rendering. I'm doing a bigger render now and will probably post it on DeviantArt tomorrow. In case you're interested.
