Sculpted clouds

I wonder if it is possible to apply as a mask shader an image shader but projected through render camera.
By this way you would keep from any point of view the image you want to have in your clouds

You can definitely cut the cloud according to the image shader by plugging the image shader into the final density input of the cloud.

Example used a skull image with camera projection.

Thanks for your info. I already knew this to create some sculpted clouds.
My idea here is quite different. Clouds is not created from the image shader.
Let's say it is a normal clouds but the image map shader connected to the render camera creates
a sculpted hole in the cloud.
Not sure it is possible by this way

I use that method to burn a hole in the sky for the sun to poke through. Just aim the (extra) camera at the sun and use a small white circle as image map.

Haha neat almost mushrooms coming off those spike/tubes.
