Yeah. I think that this has been called the holly grail around here. But of course I think that Oshyan meant photo real.

I have to say though, with the preview of the preview for TG4, this looks really doable now in TG, because you can see what you are doing fast, which makes all the difference in the world to someone like me.

All my problems are/were about fast feed back. For me I just can't apply theory (which I do understand mostly) and then apply it in practice, blind. I really have to see it in action to make sense of it in practice. The new previewer win TG4 looks like that will get me there.

I am especially happy now, because I won't have to ask so many questions. I hope that the previewer is that fast even in a heavy node tree. Then I can simply test every setting in every case. And see the results my self near instantly.

With respect to the OP, I hope that this will be done in TG by many, since to greater or lessor degrees, I think what I wrote in this post apples to everybody. Of course people who were already doing well with TG2-3, will do even better. But I never get jealous of other peoples talents, I am happy to see it here, and share in the results with you all through your finished works. But now I also hope that this update will have the things in it so I can show off a little bit too!  ;)

An interesting thing would be if we can render out the frames from the preview window at the quality of the preview window. That would have a lot more use than you may think.

And again, about the op... I do indeed hope that planetside is leaning more and more to the game market. Really it seems to me in large part, its just a mater of good/better output methods from TG, which matt said he liked the idea of and was thinking about. I really hope its in the update (vector output in some form), that along with a few other things would make me crazy excited to get back to experimenting.
