Nothing final, just pleased with being able to tinker around with T3.
Tree made with DP_Tree/Lightwave3D. Lots of tweaking to do with it.
Snow coverage with DSDunbar Deep Snow Example.

Yeah definitely a good start! Better then me I am sure when I first starting picking things up here. I would suggest some colour variation in the ground detail and tree foliage.

Thanks guys.
Used multiple cameras while roaming the terrain and inadvertently moved the wrong camera loosing this POV. :P  Then overwrote the file save.  :o
Will attempt to triangulate my way back.  lol... Any way to lock the camera position?
I wasn't concerned with ground cover atm, mainly playing with tree populations.


Also, used a preset for the sky. Not sure which one though.
Correction: The tree was made with DP_Verdue Pack. A Lightwave 3D plug-in that includes Trees, Foliage and Grass.

I do not think there is a way to lock the camera position that i am aware of.

Nice start.
If you like your camera position and want to try other point of views you can make always a new-or more-camera nodes and use those to experiment.You can change the names of the camera nodes to something like "old view" or whatever makes sense to you to remember them better.

I believe when clicking the button to set the camera position will go to your "Master" camera or "Render Camera". Maybe unticking that and using a new camera you could name "Roaming" or something might help.

I have started to copy the position and angle of camera, add a internal cube object, rename cube to something logical, paste copied coordinates of camera to the cube object, then disable the object. This marks the spot where the camera should be if the position is accidentally lost from inadvertently moving wrong camera, and makes it easier to relocate.

Have yet to locate POV from posted image, getting close though.  :P

You could use a landmark for that  ;)

The simplest way is to just copy/paste the camera node, and as suggested above, rename it to "Old_Camera" or whatever, then you won't lose it.  I too would really like a way to lock a camera (and objects and terrains).

By using the landmark for saved camera positions, I am less likely to move the object as opposed to inadvertently moving the camera regardless of what the camera is named.

And yeah, Point at Object would be nice also.
