New version of TerraConv, v1.23, is now available at my web site:
http://koti.mbnet.fi/pkl/tg/TerraConv.htm

TerraConv is a freeware program for converting Terragen terrain (.ter) files into image file format readable by image editing programs, and image files back to terrain files.

Changes from v1.22 to v1.23:

- Added keyboard commands Esc (break) and Alt-X (exit)
- Resizeable File Open/Save dialog boxes
- Fixed save/restore scaling data. (Stopped saving scaling data after Restore was pressed, and you had to close and restart TerraConv in order to be save scaling data again.)
- Compiled with new runtime library. (Hopefully this will reduce the number of false virus alarms given by some virus scanners)

I didn't know this existed before ;).  Thanks for updating and pointing us to this.

TerraConv is a really excellent util. PC-only I think unfortunately for you, but it's really the best way to go from TG to Photoshop (or other image editors with 16 bit capability) and back again.

I used to get that same feeling when I'd find out an app was MAC-only too...  so I know how ya feel.  I don't know of any MAC emulators for PC.

Doesn't the windows emulator on a MAC run really well though?

Yeah.  With the new Intel Macs you can actually run Windows at native speed - it's not so much emulation as it is virutalization: multiple operating systems running at once on one machine.  My Dad has virtualization on his machine but I need my own copy of Windows to do the same on my computer.

On Intel Macs you can run MacOS, Windows and Linux. The problem with Windows is that you have to pay for it. Linux, on the other hand, is free.

I can't make Mac version of TerraConv, since there is no Mac version of RapidQ compiler. However, there is Linux version of RapidQ (for x86 based machines), so I could perhaps make Linux version of TerraConv, if there is interest for that. To do that, I would need to install Linux on my PC. I have been planning to do that for years anyway.
