I have been using this Bobby.   http://www.fsoft.it/FSPViewer/
It works well, but there is a black line where the image comes together in on it's sides. It isn't too annoying...

Yeah me too but it's a kinda low quality thing I've found. Guess I'll have to wait till the glasses happen on a larger scale and they hit Winnipeg.

To view these images I decent quality in a viewer like the one above, the image has to be huge. 2000 x 1000 is comparable to 320 x 400 on a 1920 x 1080 screen. It looks good in the window, but full screen... Someone mentioned 8000 horizontal resolution.

Yeah, coming to that impression as well from some tests I've been running...but is that size necessary for the comp? PS is gonna rerender the winners at least with all the horsepower they have at their disposal. I figure a good image at better than average resolution could make a big enough impression to be in the running.

I think I'm going to PixelPlow my finals in any case as I don't have the 73 hrs per image a 4000x2000 an Detail .5 AA 7 would take...and their pricing rocks.

You really should as time is money and the less time I spend rendering the more I can spend creating.

Hi,

I want to expand on your topic bobby.

This allows you to work in VR while editing in After effects: http://aescripts.com/skybox-vr-player/ it is free.

With the TG SDK in beta for those with the know how, I think I would very much like to work in TG this way, especially considering TG4 which seems to be *near* real time in preview mode (on a good machine). So, Would like to hear from others on this, since I doubt that anyone would go through the trouble just for me. And I do understand it will be a year or 3 before VR takes over.

But you know what they say about the early bird... He is tired a lot?
It has been eaten.
