Still haven't done anything with the mid-ground open plain, I do intend to make that a bit more interesting and flow better with the foreground colors. Playing around with the clouds I ended up making things a bit more "dramatic" and while I like it I don't think I'll keep it, not quite the feeling I was going for.  :P

Otakar, I may very well have more questions in the future. Sure is a small world to know someone on here has experience with where I'd like to move. Missoula and UM have attracted my attention more, mostly because it seems that it has more to do, certainly a bit bigger than Bozeman. While I love the outdoors and the countryside, The fact that Bozeman has very little around it and is so small itself would worry me a bit, particularly in the job market. I'm glad to hear such positive things though!

The flowers and shadow really add something, great!

That looks really beautiful!

Nice update! Colors are great now. Clouds could be changed up a bit, possibly stretched. I like the field.

Here's a test of some new changes I made earlier today. Thoughts?

I didn't have the old settings saved, so now I'm just playing around with clouds, trying out different things. I think I see what went missing from v2 is the cloud shadow adds something to the sense of scale.

Still working on it :P but here's an update for now

If you don't save incrementally, you could copy some nice nodes/settings, like the clouds you had, and set them aside, continue with a new set. Too late now, though.

Finally came back to this, although I'm gonna wait for TG4 to do a final render after seeing the improvements in the clouds :P

Made the mistake of trying soft shadows on this one, luckily I let it render while I went out of town for a couple days because it took 35 hours  :o ... and not worth the little difference I don't think.

Anyways I feel this is a good combo between what I likes and others seemed to like out of v2 but keeping some of the added complexity of v3. Critiques and suggestions still welcome though.
