Two layers, no other reds.
First layer contains all blue functions, no random functions.
Second layer for adding colors.

Nice, and always handy. Thanks, mogn.

Neat. It would work well for a man made structure or with more adjustments, a stone wall.

I wonder what is with the tiny distortions though?

The edges may not be entirely smooth, causing some miscalculation?

Most of "miscalculation" are shadows.

Thank you for yet another useful file.

Some changes:
The profile changed: the sqrt changed to abs, the smooth limit changed to 0.5
The value input of the hsv color shader is calculated in the interval 0.1..6/7
The displcament multiplier is the hsv shader weighed by 0.4, 0.4, 0.2.
Elimination of the mix shader(replaced by a dot shader with the about weights,
seems to be more efficient.
