Ozone at 5 is very, very high! "Extreme" I would say. It's definitely going to have an odd effect on your renders.

First image the aircraft prop is "spinning" I presume. In the following images, pilot lost power?
Dead stick landing in sand...  this is not going to be pretty... 
Also, might want to alter the aircraft wings to show some aileron and rudder banking the craft.

You are quite correct on all points, however all the renders other than the first were intended to be tests merely to illustrate the changes due to various settings.

It would be nice to adjust the rudder, etc and put glass in the windows and a pilot inside. but the aircraft is just a simple one piece object with one material. It has no separate parts and I'm not inclined to do the work subdivide it.
