I did some testing of a rock surface in ZBrush, but somehow got stuff messed up, like the UV maps. In other attempts when sculpting using spotlight, the depth didn't happen according to the lights/darks in the texture imported. I need to see more tuts, I suppose.
Anyway, here's some attempts, maybe of small use.

EDIT: the other tgo is just over 5000MB, so I can't post it.

This was too big for one post.

No big deal, just some testrock. I have to try better some day.

Here's another one. I'm struggling to get really crisp displacement in ZB, trying to use a greyscale bumpmap for brushing in heights and using the same colored texture in spotlight to colorize. But the bump texture doesn't work as I anticipated, still too soft. So it's not perfect, but might be of use.

Finally managed to get a decent rock in ZB, using Jochen's suggestion about inflating. Thanks, Jochen.
It's too big to post, however (6MB), sorry.
