The image I was rendering on T4 Beta stopped rendering on Sunday Sept 4.  (Image is black).
I thought it would start rendering correctly again once I'd loaded the new T4 on Monday, but it still renders black.
Is there any way to recover this image?

Are you sure it's not an 'off' setting in TG? a totally black render is very strange.

masonspappy

Not at all sure.
What I see is that when rendering first starts, the screen is populated with the usual dot patterns.  In fact parts of the picture actually do render out enough so that pieces of the image are recognizable. But then those pieces disappear and eventually the remaining dot patterns disappear.  This happened on Sunday - I saved the image I'd been working on for a few days (in T4 Beta) then tried to open it up again, only to to be met with this behavior.
It's not that big of a deal, I can pretty much recreate what I lost (I save images and incrementally save the TGD with a new name every day or two).  So work wasn't totally lost

I would say the camera is under the terrain. Could that be?

I had a similar but different problem when loading a scene from the BETA into TG4 full. For some reason my camera wasn't where I left it nor where it appeared to be in the 3D preview...Had to make a new camera to get back to where I was...very odd. The RTP showed the different camera position where as the 3D preview showed the camera as I set it with nothing in front of it...as I said, very odd.

Try finding the camera............I had a case of the camera moving underground for some reason. About drove me to drink.......... :)

Thanks guys.  I've tried ideas suggested here and a few others as well,  but no joy. Don't think I'll pursue it any further since I can pull up a TGD from 2 days ago and build that up again to the point I was at yesterday morning. But thanks much for the feedback!

Camera was where it should be according to my settings and at the correct height; the one I added(not C&P but added) was .5 m to the left and worked fine...as I said very odd.

Just the tgd? Do you want any objects we used to be sent as well?

Oshyan

Ideally it would be everything in the project file, but if you don't want to send it all, *you* can try rendering it without objects and see if it reproduces the issue. If so then you can just send us the TGD alone.
