Tree made in Blender. I have to use mostly free programs....so I have been working on the tree issue. Blender tree trunks start as a curve, which for me results in a straight dull trunk below the leaf area, so....I tried converting the curve to a mesh and then modified it....working on it. I know how to do some easy stuff so it is a learning process. The trunk has texture image applied, the leaves are just color right now.

For you BobbyStahr.....My grandad spent his late teen years in Morse SK working horses and baling hay....Edit: He talked of the Moose Jaw River...
Image below is of MooseJaw River, grabbed online. No wonder you always want more vegetation....look at that grass!

Dune

That's a pretty cool image to try to replicate.

@ Dune Yes, most of these grasses are used all the time!

Whew...I know places like that in MB as well...very tempting to attempt if my new box ever starts acting like a workstation and rendering without crashing. The damn thing errored out and went into auto re boot while it was just displaying a desktop with no programs running. I've put out a call to the guy I paid for it...we'll see.

Technology is wonderful when it works as we want it to, isn't it? Whenever I install something new and it goes as planned, I am like yipee! I renamed my unit in several expletives yesterday....as I was experimenting, got something cool, forgot to save any of it, hit render, and oh gee.......TG has stopped working, program will close...
Too late I see another TG start up screen behind first window....evidently I have clicked too fast and it opened two versions raring to go....

This program is so addicting...lol

Look at it quite nicely, your blender trees.
Have also already some tinkered and the sheets then with opacity by texture in TG cut, looked funny.
Momentarily I work on surreal blender plants and bodies  ;)
