Wanted to give one of those free Quixel Megascans a try as well. Didn't get to it
until some days ago, though. This one is a good one to test applying multiple maps
in TG. The maps are 4K size.

Thanks for sharing that set up! Megascans Studio is a nice tool for mixing various scanned elements, and this set up provides a way to use them in TG, thanks again!

Nice example. You could use a powerfractal for displacement masked by the displacement texture and could go a little closer.

Dune

Some of them work very nicely indeed, but not all. You can also take the 8-bit into PS and set it to 16 bit and add a slight blur to get rid of those terraces. And I think it's important to mix several, not to get repetetititiveness.

Very interesting but something must be wrong with my eyes: I can look at the renders as long as I want - all the time I see the ground floating above my head.

Would you mind trying the sun on the 180 degree opposite side?

zaxxon - you're welcome Doug.

Kadri - sure, or better yet the cavity mask or a combi of both, or in conjunction with
          Ulco's suggestion (mix several).

Dune - Yep, this was therefore the most promising freebie in my eyes. As for the blur
and mixing several I do agree.

DocCharly65 - Of course Nils, no problem.
Although a headstand might be a solution as well. ;)

Thanks all, J.

Thanks J.  :)

Funny what happens... especially if you open both pictures and compare.
