Ok here is the final version. I turned back on the reflections as I really liked it on the plane and went with some very high settings on the cloud quality and atmo to reduce the grain. It is still a bit grainy but I can live with it... :)

Cool. I think it's mainly the shadows of the cloud that are grainy, not the cloud itself. I've noticed that on more occasions.

Funny, I think it's the reflections that are grainy (clouds were too, but now with higher samples are not). So then higher RT reflection samples, perhaps. I could be wrong though, might just be due to higher contrast of noise no the dark jet with reflectivity...

Despite the granulation the composition and the view is superb!

Maybe indeed the reflections, but that's easy to test when rendering a crop without any reflection.
