I have had and used this for years, since classic in fact and find it very handy for terrain selection. It's a free standing app and with this tool, you can open your Terrain without opening Terragen. On a controller you can also change the water level.

Yes, this is where I got all those plugins that worked in version 9, that I do not think free version supports now. Darn, wish I was rich. Great source it is.
