This one shows some fine promise Danny. I really like the foliage and the composition. The tree bark texture looks like there are two different maps with abrupt un-blended borders though? Is that one a ST model?

Well,  honestly I guess, this is not a good idea. Maybe you should leave the Initially posted image there and update it in your last post. Otherwise other readers won't be able to follow the conversation correctly.
And by the way, did you change some more things in your image? It looks very different...

The original image was over wrote so the original is no longer available, but I do see your point

It's hard to tell, when there is no reference, but I have the impression, that there is less contrast. Probably it's just a wrong memory since you didn't change anything else.
