Stumbled upon this: https://vimeo.com/173048795 May have been posted before, but it's pretty inspirational.

Thanks for sharing!
I always find it great to see these making-offs, and it also makes me a little sad because I can not make things like this all by myself.

I share your feelings, René. Just yesterday I saw a documentary about a new Dutch game and how it came about (can't remember the name). But there were a thousand people (!) altogether taking part in it for 6 years, steady crew of a few hundred. With the best software and millions to spend. Well, what can one man do?

Horizon Zero Dawn. I would't be surprised if they make it into a movie one day.

When i saw this VFX breakdown of the "Heineken - The Trailblazers" i thought the same.

It says at 2:38 that with one computer the AD would have taken 2500 days to calculate.
And then when you add all the talented people, artists involved it is quite another league.

Dune

@René: That's the one, yes.
That is amazing too, Kadri! Well, I gladly pay a bit more for my beer for such works of art!

WOW to both of those...remembering now why I work on still images...couldn't work with that many folks...feeling old and curmudgeonly today....maybe tomorrow.
