Well I got burnt out on doing TGTP studies, so I've decided to throw together an image as fast as possible.  Turned out alright for the amount of time I put into it.

Detail: 0.7
resolution:  1600x800
render time: about 3 hours per processor (I used 4)
post work:  about 15 minutes of minor contrast adjust to bring out some emotion, minor color tweaking to bring out more detail, some slight lighting adjustments, selective sharpening

The background mountains are a .ter file I created in World Machine.  The clouds are an image map I painted by hand in PS.  The foreground is nothing but a few simple powerfractals stacked together with slight displacement, and redirect.

I really like this, it has a photographic quality to it.

Nice foreground detail, although the colors look a bit odd.

moodflow, nice "throw together".  Sheesh.  It's beautiful.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Great looking clouds man, awesome brushwork. Everything comes together nicely. Job well done.

This is very nice indeed. It has a great degree of realism but is a bit surreal or "dreamy" overall I think. Those clouds are especially interesting. Due to the light on the foreground it looks kind of like an HDR image taken with multiple exposures of a real camera and blended together. Did you do any kind of special manipulation or add extra light sources?
