Harvey. Sounds like a good idea. I could make good use of the "hooked directly to the percolator" one while I'm at work. I have a pot of coffee on the go constantly in my offic. It also makes the whole building smell nice  ;D I shall have to invest in one of the new percolators when they come out!
I love the smell of caffine in the morning

I voted 'no', as I love TG but I do not adore it ,-)

Hi,

I'd vote no, because if there was any merch going I'd expect to get if for free ;-). I was actually wearing a MojoWorld shirt earlier today, which I got when I worked for them a few years ago, but I only use it for sleeping in. It has luminous logos and such on it, it sometimes gives me a fright if I get up in the night :-).

Regards,

Jo
A luminous night scene on a t-shirt would look cool. :)

I voted no because, frankly, this ranks lower than those geeky "all your base are belong to us" T-shirts. Sorry, but I've got to keep my cool slightly. I can't see Terragen really having any decent brand name status other than among graphics designers. At least the linux penguin is relatively well-known.
The whole point of the merchandise is to make it more well known. Also, I think TG2 is so cool, that the merchandise will make those who use it look cooler - show it to all of your non-graphics-designer friends. ;)

Mr. Miley - I envision two configurations. The 'Base Camp' option for use in the office, with the drip connected directly to the percolator, and the portable configuration with the IV bag, for the Terragener on the go. Both percolator and IV bags could carry the logo.
;D

ProjectX - Well, I think it's goes without saying that the target market would be restricted to TG users. I don't think you'd have to worry about seeing them on sale in your local computer shop.
Such a random idea... :D
I agree with the bottom bit partially. I don't think the merchandise should be sold in computer shops - I think it should be sold online. However, while the target market would obviously be TG2 users, if good enough merchandise is made I think there could be a steady flow of random people buying the stuff. ;D

More votes please!

Hey, I voted "definitely", but with one restriction. I would like to see artwork of the users on the shirts and mugs, and  a small logo somewhere. It shouldn't be too expensive. €20,- for a shirt is a maximum I think.

Well there's absolutely no reason we cant get our images printed on T-Shirts ourselves, the issue would be whether we could/should add the TG logo. There are after all some shall we say not so good images that do not do too much for TG's rep. I would prefer a simple stylish logo that implies the depth and breadth of the product. Less is more, that sort of thing.

I agree, but what could be simple, stylish and imply the quality of Terragen 2? ???

That's about right. (€20 is roughly £14, which is roughly $28 I think).

Someone already said so up above - whats wrong with an updated version of the current logo? As far as I'm concerned the current one works fine, too. It's a logo. It's supposed to be simple and easily reproduced. Right?

Of course, what do I know. I'm no artist.

;)  ;D

I like the present logo.  Planetside.  Uh huh.

;D
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Dark Fire

I wonder what the staff think of the present logo. Do they like it? Are they planning to change or update it? How old is it?

Doesn't Oshyan know a lot about the history of Planetside?
(Yes, I still haven't had time to add that stuff to Wikipedia).

Something official and recognisable would be better.
