Hi,
I'm working with displacement on the Lake object and hitting a few little tech issues. Anybody know what "displacement tolerance" is? Look in Lake - Surface Shaders tab. Docs have nothing:

hi,
have you noticed, you can do a search in the wiki? Don`t rely too much on the "?" in the nodes.
A lot seems to have changed in the wiki since the latest updates. Search the wiki and look at older or even old threads.
Time consuming and not very user friendly, I know. But that is just the way it is. Searching the forum is very helpful too.
The term "displacement tolerance" is "described" in other nodes:
here http://www.planetside.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=FAQs_and_Troubleshooting and
here http://www.planetside.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=OBJ_Reader_-_Surface_Shaders_Tab for example.
And here is a very old thread which helps a little bit more perhaps
http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,6262.msg66198.html#msg66198
As I mentioned in the other thread you started post a picture or - even better - a tgd addressing the problem.
Almost always someone comes back with a solution.
cheers, Klaus

Thanks!
I always search in the wiki first. Got nothing on that except the page in the wiki with nothing. You'd think that someone who takes the time to program something would take a moment to write 1 sentence saying what it means. I sure do in my scripting. Anyway.....

What issues are you seeing with the lake object?
