Still Render VS Sequence Render

Hey guys!

We're using Terragen for loads of clouds and atmosphere. When rendering a single frame in the render view we're happy with the result.
However when we do a sequence render we get something totally different.

Our single frame renders are done with no GI Cache File.
Sequences are done using cache files.

Seems like switching between the 2 modes is causing the problem, however every time we render a single frame going forward (even for tests) it means we need to write and read a GI cache which is slowing us down a lot. Is there a way to get settings fairly similar between these 2 modes? Or perhaps we're missing something else that we're not aware of?

Thanks!

Renders with and without cache should be pretty similar *unless* you're doing a lot of cache blending. Is that the case? And if so, is there a lot of camera movement or other changes in the view of the camera (e.g. object or terrain changes)?

If possible can you either post some example images, and/or send some images (and ideally your .tgd files) to support AT planetside.co.uk ?
