Can post effects be applied or removed after render?

(Terragen4) Is there a way to apply the 'post effects' found under the 'filters' of a renderer after the image has rendered? I've been trying to explore how these settings look and I've been having to render the same image every time. Likewise can these effects be removed after a render?

Thanks!

Not like can be seen in compositor preview in Blender or similar programs. You either check the box or not as far as I know. I hear talk about render layers, but I do not know if this would be a way to do what you mean as the filter option is in the render control box.

If you are fast enough, you can grab a screen capture, PAUSE the render, before the filter is rendered. My unit seems to go into a sort of freeze mode when the filter starts to be applies, so you have to be quick, in my case.

yeah Blender's compositor is what got me thinking about it. That would be a nice feature.
Thanks for the help!

Some parts of the 'post' effects seem to be done earlier than post.

Not yet, but we're going to add this capability for some of the effects.

Yeah, I've noticed Ambient Occlusion pops in sooner than done.

GISD is applied in 2 stages, during and after render.
