Here is an update. I took Ulco's advice and reduced the colour variation of the trees on the right side, added some more structure to the sand and additionally changed the trees on the island a bit and increased the colour variation here.

Really loving this. I see with the changes to the vegetation the light/grayish shadows have decreased where it should otherwise by pretty dark due to imposing bright contrasting.

Brilliant piece of work.

I have thought for quite a while that it would be interesting of PLanetside to post photographs from time to time and ask users to replicate them in Terragen. A lot of Bing Desktop images would be suitable.

Sorry for reupping this thread but I couldn't resist. Just have to say WOOOW!!
It's really hard to tell the difference and even harder to say that the second one is a rendered image. I'm just getting back to TG after leaving out TG3 completely and it's images like this one that keep inspiring me (don't ask for my meager results, though)...
