Organizing Node Groups

Is there a way to lock the window size of groups like "Objects"?  Every once in a while, one of the group windows expands a lot -- not sure why. 

Also, I attempt to organize objects in a group like the attached image.  When I add a new object, it appears to shove it into the group and moves other objects.  Typically, I add an obj, do texturing, etc, save as a tgo, delete the obj, and add the new tgo.  By then, the organized grouping is a mess.  Seems the ability to lock objects (positions) in a group would be a nice feature.

There is no "locking" feature yet, either for node position or size. However Groups should not be randomly changing size. Can you try to figure out the specific steps for making this happen?

I'll try.  It could be because I'm using two monitors -- a 4K and HD, but I rarely leave the 4K one with Terragen.  I sometime pull the render view over to the HD display -- maybe there's some interaction .

The object group window grows when adding a few new objects (in my case three) even though there's plenty of room in the window.  I think it's because the program tries to place the new objects in some kind of alpha numeric order.  I have only used one display in testing this, so it doesn't appear as an interaction from using two monitors.

Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, the auto-placement behavior for nodes added from the Node List buttons is quite simplistic at the moment. It just auto-places new nodes immediately below the last-added node, no matter where you have moved it to, I believe. To maintain space around other nodes it will grow the window. I can understand this might be undesirable behavior. One of a number of node network behaviors that should be improved in the future, perhaps when we move to a new UI system.
