Just a test of the rainforest tree here:
https://planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,24681.0.html

Just one population with a colored PF in the "Tint diffuse color" slot. Since this object is really a big mac (370 MB even as TGO), I had to render this in crops with a precomputed GI cache. Some contrast changes in PW.

Dune

That's pretty huge, but result is very nice. I guess the leaves are all individual meshes, and maybe even subdivided?

mhaze

Very good render. It's an excellent tree too heavy for me

Thanks guys. The leaves are simple square shaped cards. No subdivision. And I used my triple leaves texture.

Beautiful, you have redeemed this lovely if huge model.

Wow, superb. I love the lighting and the diffuse tint brings the scene some variance which brings out the realism.

Very nice jungle mood. Cool, what you made with that tree!

Hannes

Thanks again! I used quite high GI settings for this one (8/12). Took some time to compute, but I think it was worth it.

Seems to have really paid off with the depth within  the foliage.
