Hey, Everyone

Now recently I've been looking at some amazing peices of work from you guys, like effulux's "Functions" and i thought...

A large amount of you (at least I think a large amount) use the Function Nodes quite alot in their renders, to give them more spectacular views, and without being able to use these, I feel my renders are becoming....limited.

I had a look over the Node References for them, but they didnt really help So I was wondering, If anyone where with some spare time could show me how to properly use the Function Node's In TG 2.

I know this can be quite a large amount to ask, But anyone willing to help will be appreciated

Thanks
Zionner

P.S: I mean Functions in general...

I am not as advanced as efflux or Volker but I know the basics of the functions and take it from me that best way to learn them is just by messing around....make some function nodes and start connecting them randomly and see what impact that has on your terrain....of course the learning curve is really steep...but it can be done.....take both very close and far away shots

also there is a very detailed and well explained 4 part tutorial on functions by David...go here:

I wrote a tutorial showing a use of functions and also delving into the underlying logic of how you put them together.  It won't give you results like efflux's, but it's a good place to start:

Hope that helps :).
