I really didn't work too hard on this one.  At the last thought, I decided to do a low angle sunlit scene with a cloud and water and trees and stuff.  I used a second low level sunlight source to highlight the terrain in the distance. And a little postwork on the water to soften the glare.  Any suggestions as always are welcome.

Nice view!
I am only really slightly irritated by the noisy appearance of the rocks.
But the overall impression is great and I love the clouds!

Ditto on the rocks, could use a bit of tweaking. And when i do a scene with an island in the foreground I always add the far terrain in it's population as that conveys distance through the apparent size difference and then add the distant pop to the mix. Love the sky/clouds and the composition is very nice. Tweak on!

Thanks, Doc.  I think why the rock features appear to be "noisy" is due to my placing a sunlight node (0.75 strength, no shadows) 180 degrees from the primary lighting.  I thought they were a little peculiar, too.  Maybe if I tone down a bit more it wouldn't appear as such.
