What's your scores from R15?

Here's mine, I just did. Considering the age of this CPU (2012) I expected the results to be in the 100s, was pleasantly surprised. Also surprised a RX 480 is still pushing 3rd now almost into 2019 for a 4 core system. I did find out this A10-5800k is better than all the APU's they put out up until 2016 though, better L2 Cache etc. They kept the basic same quad core setup, and kept stacking better HD IGPs in it which I guess take away from some processing power.

You can download Cinebench R15 right here: http://http.maxon.net/pub/benchmarks/CINEBENCHR15.038.zip (Mac: http://http.maxon.net/pub/benchmarks/CINEBENCHR15.038.dmg)

Note: This is a really great baseline benchmark, and is really quick (depending on the PC), so if you're thinking this is like one of this 15 minute benchmarks, or stress tests, no it's not.

Yeah. I think that by installing a graphics card you are disabling the graphics on the APU die,
the GPU part of which could have gone toward more cores. When I built four render farm
units I selected 8-core CPUs (FX-8350) with no integrated graphics knowing that the MB had
a basic graphics subsystem.  Cinebench wouldn't evaluate the MB graphics on the FX-8350
system with no graphics card because it lacked the requirements for the test. But these render
correctly for TG. I only added a graphics card to one of them because I wanted to also use that
system to run LW as a support system for a TriCaster. So my main system is pretty low on the
totem pole (left) but the system in the middle represents three other FX-8350 units. The one
on the right is the FX-8350 with a graphics card.

Thanks for the link. It was fun. I just ordered the monitor/keyboard/mouse for my Threadripper.

I am not sure this board actually disables. With the RX in it, it has tbe option for auto and dual GPU mode. But when on auto, windows recognises both GPU units. Certain software or games even ask what GPU to use.

I need to redo this too as steam was open and apparently steam helper sucks up about 15-20% on idle. I also hate this Trinity was advertised as a 4 Core when it's technically a Dual Core with just 4 threads. Lol

I see you also got a 9800 GT. Great card. I still have one.

Interesting. I guess it has become popular to run more than one graphics card at a time. I don't have any experience with this. I stopped playing FPS video games after experiencing PTSD (seriously). I even went to a physician because I thought I had a medical problem. He said "Oh, you're just having a panic attack". It actually took me a couple of years to get back to normal with no nightmares.

Ill never forget panic attacks. Terrible. Felt like I was dying. Sorry you had to go through any of that.

I actually got this card cause it was really quick (like off the line) with CGI artists. Which subsequently those calcs were used in mining where it became a quick favorite during last years mining rage. I wanted to be able to run any trials I wanted to try and also blender. As even on my HD7770 blender was chuggy.

How about CPU 67.47 cb with an Intel Xeon Phi (64 cores 144 threads)?

Oh wow. That's pretty amazing.

I miss Xeon. Only Intel CPU I really like.

The fact the X5450 is still a good "business" CPU and I only retired mine a couple years ago on light gaming and rendering, says a lot considering the chip.

I am quite happy with my machine. It performs quite well for what I do.
Just bought the NVidia GTX 1070 TI used for some 270 CHF. 1080 Ti`s go for 500-650 CHF still.
Way too expensive for me. Makes a difference.
My scores (ran the benchmark only once)
