Another stab at a rough looking sky against a rugged terrain.  The standing formations are a blend of one of my old files for vertical displacement and Ulco's (Dune)outcrop creation.  No vegetation.  I wanted it as bare and foreboding as can be.  As always, suggestions are welcome.
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows...


I like it, color scheme is very nice and it's foreboding alright. Maybe a vortex shader for the sky would enhance the drama. Great sky, nonetheless.

Very nice realization. I really like this brightening of light illuminating the rocks.


Like and I agree wtih Ulco...but I'm a big fan of the vortex shader
